The National Constitutional Assembly wishes to voice its concern and distress at the arrest of the Movement for Democratic Change's President Morgan Tsvangirai in Kwekwe this morning and the party's Secretary General, Mr. Tendai Biti, at the Harare International Air-port this afternoon.

The National Constitutional Assembly Chairperson Dr Lovemore Madhuku was interviewd recently by Violet Gonda oF SW Radio on the Hot Seat programme. The Chairperson touched on a number of issues, the run-off, position of civic society on the obtaining situation in Zimbabwe and more importantly the importance of reforms that will bring about a new people driven democratic constitutiuon.
